tjSTAR is a research symposium held annually at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. Designed to enrich student learning and interest, this day-long, school-wide event of presentations, discussions, demonstrations, and interactive learning opportunities is intended to facilitate the sharing of student research projects, explore future research options, and discuss the research aspects of potential careers.
Over 1500 students attended the 2015 Symposium and got the chance to play and explore the Robot, promoting FTC as part of tjSTAR.
Students were motivated to form new FTC teams, there are 3 new teams that were formed out of this event.
