X-BOTS will be at the Maker Faire with our Robots! Come see us and our Robots. Learn about FTC, Robotics and enjoy the 2nd Annual National Maker Faire.

On June 18-19, 2016, makers from across the United States will convene in Washington, DC, at the Second Annual National Maker Faire. Kicking off the “Week of Making” (June 17-23) National Maker Faire gives curious, inventive people a place to share what they love to make.

Attendees at this free, family-friendly event will have the opportunity to interact with such technologies as Raspberry Pi, Arduino, electronics, and 3D printers as well as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) projects, textiles, crafting activities, homemade robots, and more.

Directions and Parking

There are many ways to get to and from Maker Faire. Please check Getting to Maker Faire for the most up-to-date information regarding routes, traffic and public transportation.

Maker Check-In is located by the main entrance to UDC on Van Ness St NW. See the Check-In map here.

Maker Faire starts promptly at 11:00 am on Saturday and Sunday. Please keep traffic in mind and plan to arrive with enough time to park or walk from public transportation and to prep your exhibit.

METRORAIL (SUBWAY)

The Van Ness-UDC Metro station, Red Line is right at the Faire. Just a few steps away!
Metrorail to close at midnight every night beginning June 3.

BUS

For directions by Metro Bus, the following bus routes go to UDC:

H2 – Crosstown Line
L1 – Connecticut Avenue Line
L2 – Connecticut Avenue Line
L4 – Connecticut Avenue Line

BIKING

There are two Capital Bikeshare stations near Van Ness-UDC both on Connecticut Ave NW. See herefor locations.

PARKING

There will be $5 all-day parking available at the University of D.C., entrance on Van Ness St.

HANDICAP PARKING

There will be $5 all-day handicap parking available at University of D.C., entrance on Van Ness St (fills up fast).
