Our team had the distinct pleasure of meeting Mr.Ken Johnson, Director of FIRST Tech Challenge at East Super Regional. As head of FTC program, he heads up the fastest growing FIRST program. We love FIRST and FTC!
At the opening ceremonies, Chief Ken challenged the teams to double the tribe overnight.
“At ESR , you are the top 6% – top of the top! If each of you went out and recruited one more person, we would double our tribe overnight! We can do that. Please do that. I am not going to let the adults off the hook either. You know that there are 400,000 students supported by 150,000 volunteers each year. Right here alone, there are 160 volunteers headed by Dave Hackett and Tom Zawislak.”
